This painting is out of paintings from the first Mithila painting exhibition by Antiquecraft Private Limited with website partner MithilanchalGroup. This was an attempt to provide a platform for Madhubani Painting artists to showcase their talents. The exhibition was organised at Arpana Art Gallery, New Delhi in June 2016.

This painting tells the story of Vidyapati and Lord Shiva in four parts:

The First part shows the arrival of Lord Shiva in disguise of Ugna in the Poet’s home.

The second part shows Lord Shiva working at Poet’s place.

The third part shows the revelation of the identity of Lord Shiva in front of Vidyapati.

The fourth part shows Lord Shiva going back to Kailasha.
