Vidyapati has the same place in Maithili literature which Shakespeare has in English. “Vidyapati”s Glory rests on the achievment of his maithili poems. It is here that his genius found its forte. The rane of his songs devotional songs and a very few of them deal with miscellaneous subjects. in all these love songs Radha and Krishna respectively. His songs are evergreen and new foreever.
