Description
This painting is out of paintings from the first Mithila painting exhibition by Antiquecraft Private Limited with website partner MithilanchalGroup. This painting shows how people are moving out from Mithila and how Mithila is receiving its people only after death. This is made in Godna Style which was an old method used for piercing on hand and other body parts. “Godna” means “Piercing”. This style is rarely being used these days.
This was an attempt to provide a platform for Madhubani Painting artists to showcase their talents. The exhibition was organised at Arpana Art Gallery, New Delhi in June 2016.
